This bean makes everyone exclaim "Oh WOW!" Whether you tend to gravitate toward light roasts naturally or delight in discovering unique, out of the ordinary coffee, look no further than our Ethiopian Guji Shakiso, Grade 1. Bursting with blueberry-forward goodness, backed by graham cracker and inflections of chocolate, you will want to deliberately slow down and enjoy this cup.
ELEVATION: 5400-5900 ft
TASTING NOTES: Blueberry, Graham Cracker, Chocolate
ROAST LEVEL: Light
NOTES FOR BREWING: Drip, Pourover
DEGASSING: 4-7 days
NOTE: We recommend ordering this whole bean and not ordering this "ground". The blueberry notes become difficult to find when the ground coffee rests for a while.
INFO ON ORIGIN: Guji is located in the south central part of the Oromia region. Miles of thick forests cover the area, making travel difficult. Appoximately 700 small farmers bring their coffee cherry to the Shakiso wash station where the coffee is processed and dried on raised beds. Given the difficult terrain, we can appreciate the hard work put into this coffee all the more.
